PRECISION ROADSIDE SERVICE • MESA-BASED, EAST VALLEY FOCUSED
Frequently Asked Questions
The Precision Roadside Service FAQ hub answers common questions about our mobile roadside assistance, EV charging, tire replacement and car battery services, so you know exactly what to expect before you book. Family-owned, mobile-only, no towing, not 24/7 — we come to you when we're open.
Roadside Assistance & On-Site Services
This section covers how our mobile roadside team handles common breakdowns at your location, so you don't have to wait for a tow truck or sit in a lobby.
What roadside services do you offer?
We focus on mobile services that get you moving again without a tow, including mobile car battery testing, delivery, installation & programming (where required); mobile EV charging (Level 2) for stranded or low-range EVs; mobile tire replacement, tire sales, flat repair & tire rotation (through our tire division); and jump starts, lockouts and other light roadside services. We do not provide towing, heavy mechanical repairs or body work.
Are you a towing company?
No. Precision is a mobile roadside and tire service, not a towing company. Our goal is to fix the issue on-site when possible — by replacing your battery, charging your EV, repairing or replacing a tire, or getting the vehicle started safely. If a tow is required, we can help you decide the best next step but we do not tow vehicles ourselves.
Do you operate 24/7?
No, we are not a 24/7 service. Our hours are structured so we can provide safe, consistent service with a real technician, not a call center. If you contact us after hours, you can still submit an online request and we'll start on it as soon as we reopen.
Can you come to my home, work, or jobsite?
Yes. We are a mobile-only service. We routinely work in residential driveways and garages, workplaces and office parking lots and business parks, and jobsites, industrial lots and fleet yards (where access is permitted). As long as your vehicle is in a safe, accessible location within our service area, we can usually help.
Car Battery Testing, Delivery & Installation
How we test, deliver and install car batteries on-site, including registration and coding for many newer vehicles.
How do you determine if my battery really needs to be replaced?
Every battery call starts with a proper test, not guesswork. We use professional test equipment to check battery health and available cold cranking amps, state of charge and internal resistance, and charging system performance (alternator and voltage output). If the battery passes and the problem is elsewhere, we explain what we found and go over your options.
Do you offer mobile battery delivery and installation?
Yes. We provide mobile battery delivery and installation throughout our East & Southeast Valley service area. On a typical visit we test the existing battery and charging system, install the correct replacement battery, clean and secure connections, and perform reset, coding or registration when required.
Can you program or register batteries for newer vehicles?
Many late-model vehicles require battery registration or coding after replacement. We have the tools to complete this on-site for supported makes and models.
What happens if you come out and the battery is not the problem?
Sometimes a vehicle will act like it has a dead battery, but the issue is actually something else (lights left on, parasitic draw, starter or ignition issues, or the vehicle sitting too long). In those cases, our visit is treated as a diagnostic/service call. A standard service fee applies for the technician's time and testing, even if a new battery is not installed.
Mobile EV Charging & Range Support
How our EV division provides Level 2 mobile charging when you're low on range, stuck at home or stranded away from a charger.
What exactly is mobile EV charging?
Mobile EV charging means we bring Level 2 charging equipment directly to your vehicle instead of you driving to a charging station. We connect to your EV, provide a safe charge session, and give you enough range to get home, to work, or to a nearby permanent charger.
Which EVs do you support?
We support most modern EVs and plug-in hybrids, including Tesla (with appropriate adapter), Rivian, Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia and many other EV brands, and most J1772 and NACS-compatible vehicles.
How much range can you give me with mobile EV charging?
Range added depends on your specific vehicle, battery size, current state of charge and how long we're on-site. Our goal is to give you a safe, usable buffer so you can reach a permanent charger comfortably.
Do you offer EV fleet or event charging?
Yes. Through our EV division, we can help with fleet and yard top-offs, event and hotel charging support, and scheduled charging sessions for business vehicles.
Mobile Tire Sales, Replacement & Flat Repair
How our mobile tire division brings the tire shop to your driveway, workplace or jobsite with professional mounting and balancing.
What tire services do you provide on-site?
We offer new tire sales and installation for many passenger and light truck sizes, mounting, balancing and valve stem replacement, flat tire repair (when safe and within tire repair guidelines), and tire rotations (on supported vehicles).
Can you match or beat tire shop pricing?
Mobile tire service includes the convenience of us coming to you, professional equipment, and installation at your location. Our pricing is structured to stay competitive while still providing that on-site experience.
Can you install customer-supplied tires?
In many situations we can install customer-supplied tires as long as they are the correct size, load rating and application for the vehicle, and they meet safety requirements.
Do you service trailers, small RVs or specialty tires?
We can help with many common trailer and light-duty applications, depending on wheel size, access and weight. Larger RVs and specialty applications are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Pricing, Quotes & Accepted Payments
How we structure pricing, quotes and payment options, so you know what to expect before a technician is dispatched.
How do you price your services?
Pricing typically includes a mobile service or call-out fee based on your location, the part or product (battery, tire, etc.) needed for your vehicle, and labor to perform the work on-site (and programming when applicable). We provide a clear estimate before we dispatch, and we confirm pricing again before starting any work.
Do you require payment up front or after the job?
For most retail customers, payment is collected at the time of service once the work is completed and you've seen the test results or final product. Commercial and fleet accounts may be set up with different terms once an account is approved.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept most common forms of payment, including major debit and credit cards, contactless payments (where supported), and approved fleet or vendor accounts.
Can I get a written estimate before I decide?
Yes. We can provide an estimate based on your vehicle information and location before dispatching a technician. Once we test or inspect on-site, we'll confirm if anything needs to be adjusted before you approve the final work.
Service Area & Availability
Where we operate in the East and Southeast Valley and how we set realistic arrival times for mobile jobs.
Which areas do you serve?
Our core service area includes much of the East and Southeast Valley and select surrounding communities. Exact coverage can vary by service type (roadside, EV, tires). When you request service, share your exact location and we'll confirm availability and any applicable travel fees before dispatch.
How fast can you get to me?
Arrival times depend on call volume, location, traffic and which division is needed (roadside, EV or tires). In many cases we can provide same-day service within our core zone.
Do you offer after-hours or emergency appointments?
We are not a 24/7 provider, but we do our best to accommodate urgent daytime calls within our open hours. After-hours and special-request appointments may be considered case-by-case and are subject to availability and additional fees.
Do you still help if I'm outside your main service area?
In some cases we can travel outside our core zone for an adjusted service rate, especially for fleet or scheduled work. Travel fees and availability will be discussed up front so there are no surprises.
Warranty, Returns & Service Policies
How our warranties and service policies work, so there's no confusion later.
Do your batteries and tires come with a warranty?
Yes. Replacement products like batteries and tires include manufacturer or supplier-backed warranty coverage. Warranty length and terms depend on the specific product selected.
How do warranty service calls work for batteries or tires?
If you believe you have a warranty issue, contact us first. We'll verify your original purchase and schedule a mobile visit when appropriate. A mobile service fee may apply for the on-site inspection and diagnostic visit, even when the product itself is covered.
What if the issue turns out not to be warranty-related?
If our testing shows the product is not failing, or the issue falls outside warranty terms, the visit is treated as a standard service call.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible so we can update the schedule. Short-notice cancellations may be subject to a fee if a technician is already en route.
Safety, Equipment & Vehicle Types
Your safety and our technician's safety come first. We only work in conditions and locations that allow us to perform the job correctly.
Is it safe for you to work on my vehicle where it's parked?
We perform a quick safety assessment when we arrive. The vehicle must be in a location where we can safely park, work and use our equipment without putting you, us or other drivers at risk.
What types of vehicles can you service?
We primarily service passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs and many light-duty commercial vehicles. Some larger or specialty vehicles are handled case-by-case depending on wheel size, weight and access.
Do you use professional-grade equipment on-site?
Yes. Our roadside, battery, EV and tire services use professional-grade tools, test equipment and mounting/balancing machines designed for mobile use.
Can I stay and watch while you work on my vehicle?
You're welcome to be nearby, ask questions and see what we're doing, as long as everyone stays clear of moving equipment and lifting areas.
Scheduling, Requests & Communication
How to request service, what info we need, and how we keep you updated on arrival times.
How do I request service?
You can call our main line at (480) 256-8516 during business hours, or submit an online request form anytime with your vehicle details and location.
What information do you need from me to schedule?
To schedule quickly, it helps to have your name and a good contact number, exact vehicle location (address or closest cross streets), year, make, model and engine (if known), and the service needed (battery, EV charge, tires, jump start, lockout, etc.). Photos of the tire, battery area or dashboard lights can also help us prepare.
Will I receive updates or ETA notifications?
We'll provide an estimated time of arrival and keep you updated if anything changes due to traffic or prior calls.
How can I leave feedback or a review after my service?
We truly appreciate feedback. After your service, you can leave a review on our preferred platforms or respond directly to any follow-up messages we send.
